Deer Run - Antique Scout Cabin
CAMP HISTORY
A PEEK BACK IN TIME
These Scout cabins were originally built in the 1940s on the grounds of Camp Pottawatomie Hills. We've carefully brought them back to life in a way that retains their original character, but ensures you have a modern, comfortable lodging experience.

To honor the rich history of these cabins, we named this campsite "Deer Run", which was one of the original scout campsite names.

“What an amazing campsite! We had a large group split the Crows Nest and Deer Run campsites. The fire pit had plenty of wood and cooking utensils for us to make nearly every meal over the fire. The cabin at Deer Run had a very homey feel with the decor and an enormous tree stump table.
There was heavy rains both nights we stayed, but we stayed completely dry. The tents at the crows nest were unbelievable. Never have I ever been camping in a storm like that while being completely protected by the elements.
Overall Camp Kettlewood was an incredible experience and couldn’t have been better for our camping trip!"
